Abbotsbury, Dorset
The existing building is to undergo a series of alterations to include an additional room at first floor and enlarge the kitchen at ground floor. A garage conversion and large retaining wall to the rear were also included.
Since the building was originally erected from load bearing timber, a discrete steel frame was designed to support the extensions. The support for these elements required careful planning due to the location of the existing basement.
