Haven Road, Canford Cliffs, Poole
This existing commercial building on Canford Cliffs High Street underwent significant alteration work to provide new working areas for its tenants.
Internal load bearing walls have been removed requiring new structural beams and a change of use for the upper floors was accommodated by strengthening the existing steelwork.
Various remedial works were also completed to the building to repair previous alterations.
A new portalised steel frame building was erected in the rear yard area, this was designed to minimise the wall thickness and allow for simple construction due to the extremely tight proximity of the boundary line. The building has been designed to be altered at a future date, should the requirement be necessary.
This project is due for completion in 2023.
