The property was originally arranged over two floors and comprised two self-contained flats. The clients brief was to convert the building into a single family home which will require a number of internal structural alterations to achieve a suitable layout.
In addition to converting the two habitable floors, the existing loft will be converted to form a third floor, this necessitated the inclusion of some structural steel frames to achieve the large open plan areas.
A rear three storey extension is also included with a large open plan area and terrace forming the roof. The lower ground floor abuts the existing garage.
A new, stand alone garage is located at the rear of the property, erected from a piled raft with a steel frame to provide a clear internal area.
This project is due for completion in 2023.
